Frequently Asked Questions

1) Will you be able to perform Tales in my venue?

Yes. The beauty of a one man show is that it can be done virtually anywhere. Our technical needs are a CD compatible sound system and two tables. Additionally, we would require a rehearsal to retool the show to your space.

2) Is Tales an appropriate event for my medical/nursing school or my pre-med group?

YES! Our research shows that Tales of a Broken Heart would be perfect for your medical/nursing school. Our survey of medical students who had viewed Tales showed that

  • Tales would definitely be an entertaining, yet educational experience best suited for a medical school orientation activity in order to give entering medical students an opportunity to view a humorous take on a real-life patient experience.
  • Tales accurately summarized some of the humanistic points that they were exposed to in their medical school curriculum in way more entertaining and more poignant than any of the textbooks they had read on the subject.
  • A majority of respondents, before seeing the show, were either very likely or somewhat likely to attend Tales if it was performed on school campuses
  • After viewing, all respondents would highly recommend Tales to their friends and classmates.

3) Does Tales appeal to a non-medical audience?

Of course. Everyone has been sick, everyone has been to the doctor, and everyone has had their heart broken. AND everyone loves Marcelo. Plus, the show is really, really funny. Seriously, book the show. Book it now.
